Job Title: Chef
Salary: $65,000 per year
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with occasional weekend work as needed.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to initially focus on the preparation of breakfast dishes and salads, while also having the opportunity to learn other menu items. You will be responsible for maintaining high-quality standards, ensuring customer satisfaction, and preparing and presenting delicious meals.
Responsibilities:
Report directly to the Head Chef.
Manage all aspects of breakfast and salad preparation and kitchen activities.
Implement and oversee breakfast and salad menus using standardized recipes.
Review and refine dishes before they are served to customers.
Prepare ingredients for food production.
Provide support and guidance to kitchen staff.
Maintain HACCP records to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Control food waste while upholding the quality of food served.
Ensure all kitchen areas and storage spaces meet high cleanliness standards.
Adhere to nutrition, sanitation regulations, and safety protocols.
Foster a cooperative and respectful work environment among team members.
Requirements and Skills:
Minimum of 1 year of proven experience as a chef.
Strong communication skills.
Knowledge of culinary trends in breakfast dishes and salads.
Credentials in health and safety training.
Proficient in bulk cooking and food handling techniques.
Knowledge of food presentations and refreshing practices.
Experience with modern kitchen equipment, including fryers.
Understanding of cooking, holding, and storage temperatures.
