Your responsibilities will include data entry, reconciliations, and preparing documentation to help identify and prevent errors and discrepancies. Role Responsibilities

• Data Entry and Bookkeeping: Assist in the entry and maintenance of financial data into accounting systems. This includes recording transactions, updating ledgers, and reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as filing financial documents, responding to inquiries from clients or regulatory authorities, and managing correspondence related to financial matters.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues within the Accounting and Finance Services team and across other departments. Share knowledge, offer assistance, and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
• Client Interaction and Communication: Liaise with clients to gather financial information, clarify queries, and provide assistance as needed. Maintain professional communication channels and ensure timely responses to client requests.
• Client Relationship Management: Build rapport with clients through professionalism, reliability, and proactive communication. Strive to understand their needs and provide excellent service to foster long-term relationships.
• Financial Analysis: Support senior team members in analysing financial data to identify trends, variances, and anomalies. This may involve preparing financial reports, conducting variance analysis, and assisting in the interpretation of financial results.
• Professional Development: Take advantage of learning opportunities provided by the firm, such as training sessions, seminars, and certification programs. Pursue professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CFA) to enhance your skills and knowledge in accounting.
• Research and Compliance: Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements. Conduct research to support decision-making and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• System and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance data accuracy. Assist in the implementation of new accounting software or procedures to optimize workflow.

Experience and Qualifications

• Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Internships or Co-op Experience: Previous internships or co-op experiences in accounting or finance roles can be highly beneficial.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial management software
• Professional Certifications: While not always required for entry-level positions, obtaining professional certifications such as CA, CPA, or CFA can enhance your qualifications and career prospects.
• Attention to Detail: Be meticulous in the work, ensuring that financial records are complete, accurate, and free from errors.
• Time Management and Organisation: Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, meet deadlines, well-organized, and able to work efficiently under pressure.
• Ethical Conduct: Honesty, objectivity, and confidentiality in handling financial information and client data.
