3月20日，房新文总领事出席澳大利亚中国总商会（CCCA）墨尔本分会2026年度会员大会晚宴并致辞。澳联邦议员黄嘉博、维州议员哈默、马希强、韦尔奇、墨尔本市议员雷示人、廖婵娥、卡米洛，CCCA墨尔本分会会长边磊、各中资企业代表及我馆负责经商事务的参赞衔领事迟洁超等140余人参加活动。

房总领事肯定了商会在促进中澳经贸合作、维护中资企业利益和支持企业发展方面发挥的重要作用，并强调企业应坚持合规经营、筑牢安全底线、履行社会责任，为中澳经贸关系发展贡献力量。他指出，李强总理两会期间在《政府工作报告》中总结的“十四五”时期发展成就，充分展现了中国经济的韧性与活力。当前，中澳关系持续向好，双边贸易稳步增长。展望“十五五”时期，期待双方不断加深政治互信、拓展合作领域，切实造福两国人民。

与会嘉宾表示，中国大力发展新质生产力，为高质量发展注入持续动能。期待双方深化在人工智能、新能源等新兴领域合作，拓展互利共赢空间，不断开创经贸新局面。

Consul General Xinwen Fang attends the 2026 Annual Membership Dinner of the China Chamber of Commerce in Australia Melbourne Branch

On March 20, Consul General Fang Xinwen attended the 2026 Annual Membership Dinner of the China Chamber of Commerce in Australia (CCCA) Melbourne Branch and delivered a speech. Over 140 guests participated in the event, including Federal MP Gabriel Ng, State MP Paul Hamer、John Mullahy and Richard Welch, Melbourne City Councillor Kevin Louey、Gladys Liu、Rafael Camillo, CCCA Melbourne Branch President Bian Lei, representatives of Chinese enterprises, and Counsellor Chi Jiechao (economic and commercial affairs).

Consul General Fang recognized the Chamber’s significant role in promoting China-Australia economic and trade cooperation, safeguarding the interests of Chinese enterprises, and supporting business development. He emphasized that companies should adhere to compliant operations, strengthen security foundations, and fulfill social responsibilities to continue contributing to the development of China-Australia economic and trade relations. He noted that Premier Li Qiang, during the Two Sessions, highlighted in the Government Work Report the achievements of the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, fully demonstrating the resilience and vitality of China’s economy. At present, China-Australia relations continue to improve, and bilateral trade is steadily growing. Looking ahead to the “15th Five-Year Plan” period, he expressed the hope that both sides will deepen political trust, expand areas of cooperation, and bring tangible benefits to the peoples of both countries.

Participants noted that China is vigorously developing new quality productive forces, injecting sustained momentum into high-quality development. They expressed hope that both sides will deepen cooperation in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and new energy, expand space for mutually beneficial, win-win outcomes, and continuously open up new prospects for economic and trade collaboration.
